This Privacy Policy explains what information Coachable, provided by able Inc., collects when you use the Coachable service, how that information is used and shared, and the choices you have about it. It should be read alongside our Terms of Use.

1. Information we collect

Coachable acts as a facilitator between registered coaches and athletes. We only request information that is needed to operate the service and connect coaches with athletes for training and analysis.

Information you provide

Information generated by your use of the app

Payments

Coaching payments are processed through Stripe's secure payment platform. Coachable does not access or store your full card or payment credentials — we only receive limited transaction details from Stripe, such as which athlete and coach profile were involved and the agreed payment amount.

2. Device information

To keep the app working smoothly and securely across the devices you use, we may collect:

3. How we use information

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. How information is shared

With other users

Your public profile information is visible to other users so that athletes can find and evaluate coaches. Messages and shared content are visible to the people you choose to communicate with.

With service providers

We share limited information with vendors who help us run the service — for example, hosting infrastructure, payment processing (Stripe), and customer support tooling. These providers are contractually restricted from using your data for anything beyond the service they perform for us.

Within able Inc.

Coachable may share infrastructure and limited information with other able Inc. products for safety and consistency purposes, such as identifying accounts that violate policies across products.

Law enforcement

We disclose information to law enforcement or regulators when required by valid legal process, or where we have a good-faith belief it's necessary to prevent fraud, harm, or violations of our policies — see the section below.

5. Managing and deleting your data

We may access, preserve, or share information in response to a valid legal request (such as a subpoena or court order), or where we have a good-faith belief it's necessary to detect and prevent fraud, protect the safety of our users, or prevent imminent harm. Information tied to an active legal or safety investigation may be retained longer than our standard retention period.

7. Privacy for young athletes

Athletes under 13 may only use Coachable with a parent or guardian creating and monitoring the profile on their behalf. Because Coachable connects adult coaches with athletes who may be minors, we follow applicable child-protection obligations, including reasonable procedures to limit unsupervised one-on-one interactions and a built-in Report Abuse function available to all users. Reports involving a minor are prioritized for review, and confirmed violations are referred to the appropriate authorities where warranted.

8. Data security

We use technical and operational safeguards — including access controls, encrypted storage for messages and video content, and background screening for employees with data access — to help protect your information. Messaging and video content exchanged between coaches and athletes is stored securely and is not disclosed except where legally compelled. If a data breach affecting your information occurs, we will notify affected users, generally within 24 hours of confirming the incident, and take steps to contain and remediate it.

9. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, port, or delete the personal information we hold about you. California residents can learn more about their rights under the CCPA at the California Attorney General's CCPA privacy page. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to Coachable or applicable law. Where required, we'll notify you in advance and give you the chance to review changes before they take effect. Continued use of Coachable after an update means you accept the revised policy.
